Because of its high concentration of “active” ingredients, it has the highest potential for contraindications if used improperly.

Major Contraindications & Warnings

1. The “Double Acid” Risk

This product contains both Glycolic and Lactic Acid, plus Vitamin A. This is a triple-threat for exfoliation.

Contradiction: Do NOT use this with any other physical scrubs, exfoliating toners, or high-strength retinol. Doing so will almost certainly lead to “skin purging” or a damaged, stinging skin barrier.

2. High Sun Sensitivity

The combination of AHAs and Vitamin A makes your skin extremely vulnerable to UV damage.

Contradiction: If you use this at night and skip sunscreen the next morning, you risk Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH)—basically, your dark spots could get worse because the skin is too “raw” to handle the sun.

3. Conflict with the “White Box”

If you compare this to the first image (the white box), the ingredients are nearly identical but this one adds Glycolic Acid and Licorice Extract.

Recommendation: Do not use the White Box and this Gold Box product on the same day. They are too similar and will overwhelm your skin.
